FAQs
Logistics
What if I can’t make a pick up date or want to skip a week?
If you need to skip a week, please let us know no later than a week before your upcoming pick up by emailing us at info@gathercsa.com, and we will suspend the charge for that week. If you have a last minute conflict and can’t pick up your box at the agreed upon location and time, email us at info@gathercsa.com, and we’ll do our best to find an alternative pick up or delivery option that works for you. You can also opt to have us donate your box locally in the event that pick up is not feasible.
Can I switch my pick up location or opt for delivery on a specific week?
If you are looking to switch pick up locations or opt for delivery just for one week, shoot us a note at info@gathercsa.com.
How do I cancel my subscription? How much notice do I need to give?
By logging into your account, you can cancel your subscription under the ‘orders’ tab. If you cancel after the charge for your upcoming delivery has been processed, shoot us an email, and we can offer you a refund or coordinate your final pick up.
How does delivery work?
The delivery window is every other Wednesday from 4-7pm. You will get updates and ETAs directly from our driver. If you have any issues with your delivery, please send us a note at info@gathercsa.com.
What are the cut-off times for add-on orders?
We require that you place any add-on orders by 11:30pm Sunday before your upcoming pick up. If your order is placed after that time, it will roll over and be fulfilled for the following pick up date.
Customization
Can you accommodate allergies?
We try our best to accommodate your needs while supporting our farmers with the CSA model. Please reach out to us at info@gathercsa.com before subscribing with your allergies or foods to avoid, and we will let you know if we can adapt our subscription boxes to your needs.
Can I request custom cuts of meat in the add-on shop?
If you’re looking for a specific cut of meat, please email us at info@gathercsa.com. We will do our best to meet your needs!
Sourcing
Is your beef grass-fed, grass finished?
Gather sources beef from a network of small farms in our region. All of the animals we process raised on pasture and free of hormones, antibiotics, and GMOs. We take pride, however, in sourcing from farms that raise a diversity of breeds and use practices adapted to their land and goals. Some of the animals we source are entirely grass-fed and finished, others graze pasture, eat hay, and receive non-GMO grains according to season and maturity.
How far does your network reach?
We primarily source from Down at The Farms, a food hub of 60+ small family-owned farms and dairies primarily in Central Illinois. We have relationships with farmers in surrounding states like Michigan and Wisconsin and are constantly expanding our network. Read more about some of our favorite regional producers on the “who we are” page.

How do I get involved?
